Anthony Giansanti

Anthony has been a baseball instructor at BVSA for almost 2 months now. Anthony is originally from Montville, CT where he was a 3-sport stand out at Montville High School. Here he was named Eastern Connecticut Conference player of the year in both football and baseball for the first time in conference history. As well as being named to the CIAC All-State teams, twice.  After high school Anthony accepted a Division 1 scholarship to Siena College where he was named All- MAAC in 2009 and 2010.  Anthony was drafted by the Oakland A's in 2009 but returned to school for the 2010 season where he was signed as a free agent by the Chicago Cubs. He spent over 6 seasons with the Cubs from 2010 to 2016. Anthony finished the 2016 season with the Bridgeport Bluefish. Anthony is an extremely passionate player and an even more passionate instructor. He brings insightful energy and a lot of baseball knowledge to BVSA. A successful, positive leader that is ready to pass his physical and mental knowledge of the game along. Anthony's biggest supporter in the game and hero is his twin brother, Matthew who has down syndrome.
